Apple is reportedly developing an internal chatbot called Veritas as part of its Siri upgrade effort. Employees can interact with it much like ChatGPT or Gemini — asking questions, revisiting past threads, and generating responses. But there’s a catch: it’s not meant for public release (at least not yet). Instead, Apple seems to be using it as a sandbox to experiment with new Siri capabilities like in-app actions and personalized search across private data. What makes this interesting is that it shows how seriously Apple is approaching its AI pivot, testing internal tools before opening them up, and possibly leaning on rivals (like Google’s Gemini) in the interim.
