Amaysim is an Australian telecommunications provider, founded in November 2010 by Peter O’Connell, Rolf Hansen, Christian Magel, Thomas Enge and Andreas Perreiter. Peter O'Connell joined forces with the German founders of Simyo, a European MVNO that operates in Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Spain, to bring the concept to Australia.
Amaysim operates as a Mobile Virtual Network Operator on the Optus 4G network, and specialises in offering a range of mobile and broadband plans for customers who bring their own handsets to the Amaysim service.
Amaysim uses Inbenta’s patented technology to power their online help section. Customers are asked to type in their question, and as they type, Inbenta provides instant answers, or meaning matched results as they type. Customers are able to find the answers to their questions easily, no matter how they ask it. Amaysim saves their customers time by having intelligent answers to their customers’ questions and they save money by deflecting calls and emails from their live agents.
